Our Pups

Our canines have been selected especially for their suitable personality. Not every dog is destined for service work. This section provides information about how we select and train our dogs. Meet our pups in person if you are in New England.

Wonderful Wash-Outs

Dogs that are Released from Training

Potential adopters are welcome to come meet them!

Please Note: These dogs have 'washed-out' of our training program for various reasons... these may be related to health (hip dysplasia, allergies etc), or temperament (displaying fear, aggression, prey drive etc - under certain conditions). They are still Wonderful dogs with great personalities and have received all sorts of training and socialization. They will be fabulous pets for homes that are looking for a canine companion.

Victor
Main reason: Fear of new people

Victor is an adorable 3 year old cream colored Mini Poodle/Cocker Spaniel who was rescued as a stray just days before Christmas '08. When his matted 'pelt' was shaved off, out came a sweet, sensitive pup who just wants to play and cuddle. He was in-training to be a Social/Therapy Dog, but can be scared of meeting new people. He needs a home that will continue to teach him all sorts of tricks (he loves to learn!) and is understanding of his need for slow introductions to new people.

Donovan
Main reason: Sudden fear/sensitivity to public environments, questionable hips, extremely 'goofy'

Donovan is a 2 year old large brown Standard who was donated as a young adult by his breeder. He has a sweet, goofy personality and likes to work if the task is 'easy'. He bonds very strongly to his people and loves to be at their side all of the time. He would be great for a family where someone is around most of the day - he'd love to go on any and all adventures with his people.

Melody
Main reason: Inconsistent work ethic, questionable hips

Melody is a happy 1.5 year old rescued Standard / Airedale Terrier. She is very smart and loves to work (especially for food), but she can become very distracted and decide not to follow-through with the task. She has bursts of higher energy, but overall is more mellow than may be expected of a terrier mix. She is looking for a home that wants a nice companion - great with kids and other dogs/cats (caution for rodents - she has caught/killed mice on ocassion).

Potential adopters are welcome to come meet them!

Poodles are widely considered hypo-allergenic for most people - meaning that even if someone is allergic to dogs, they may not have a reaction to Poodles.
