Assistance Dog Institute (ADI)

ADI is a small college north of San Fransisco offering seminars and degree programs in assistance dog education. The dogs that are trained by college students are then placed as assistance dogs.

Poodles are widely considered hypo-allergenic for most people - meaning that even if someone is allergic to dogs, they may not have a reaction to Poodles.

If you have a disability you may choose to train a dog for yourself -- as long as you can manage their behavior and they will perform the tasks you request, your dog does not need to be certified for you to have public access.
