Volunteering
American Poodles At Work
is a Massachusetts-based program which breeds, raises, trains, and
places Standard Poodles as assistance dogs. We are dedicated to
providing well-trained, intelligent, healthy Poodles who enjoy working
for their partners, fulfilling the assistance dogs' purpose as an
unobtrusive helpmate.
Helping APAW
Use the following form if you have specific interest in donating goods, services or your time. As a non-profit, we depend on the support of the community and frequently are in need of supplies or puppy petters.
If you have general interest in what we do or wish to ask for a presskit, please do so at Contact Us.
If you wish to learn about the availability of a service dog or to start the application process then please do so at Apply to APAW.
In general, Service Dogs should start training and socialization by 8 weeks of age. In programs that breed their own dogs, training can begin as early as 3 weeks with astounding results.
